CONCEPT

The Day Team brings wisdom and experience to where it is most needed by connecting:

• impact enterprises that are looking for expertise; and

• professionals willing to provide their skills for a ‘dollar-a year’.

The impact enterprises may be high energy start-ups or low capital not for profits, social enterprises or campaigns for change. They may need just one-off advice or support for a longer term project.

The professionals are typically mid or post career and may have worked in business, the public sector or academia. They want to support the re-visioning of our economy and way of life.

CONNECTION

The Day Team optimises what already exists, by creating a movement and using platforms to facilitate connections.

Enterprises request support by providing details of the projects and roles involved. Professionals can view theses and initiate contact with the enterprises they wish to serve.

A facilitator can help match projects to professionals and those matched then make the arrangements which suit them. Privacy options will be available.

Feedback provides the appreciation and good Day Team stories. Hours provided by Day Team members can be recorded for acknowledgement and exchanges in kind.

COMMUNITY

The Day Team is tailored to a particular community, such as a geographical area or a virtual group of people. Communities of practice can be convened to bring together the professionals who are providing their wisdom.
